As a former knitting maniac, I love the 108 Contemporary Gallery's "Unbearable Absence of Landscape" installation.

Hi! I'm Emily Landry.

I am an experienced toLabor-certified Birth Doula, a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator serving families in the Tulsa, OK area. I love helping people prepare for a personal, satisfying birth experience!

I want you to welcome your new baby into the world feeling knowledgable and empowered.  I believe that each of us can make our own best life choices given the opportunity, and that there are no stupid questions when it comes to birth, breastfeeding, and our bodies. I am passionate about demystifying pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and postpartum body stuff, especially for folks who haven't experienced it yet!

When I began working with expecting families in 2011, I immediately realized how important it is to have someone by your side who believes in you, during pregnancy, labor & birth, and postpartum. As my experience grew, my deep trust in the physiology of pregnancy, labor and birth grew, too. I have experience supporting natural/unmedicated births, VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean), planned and unplanned cesarean births, high-risk birth, inductions, single moms, couples, and LGBTQIA families. I bring to each prenatal visit, childbirth class, and labor my knowledge and experience from working with many women before you, and I would love to help you create the birth experience you desire!

When I'm not attending births or teaching childbirth classes, you might find me working to improve our local community, coloring in quirky coloring books, playing games with friends, reading the newest book about birth, or running around town with my wife Emily (yep, we have the same first name!) We love visiting local restaurants, stores and coffee shops, and seem to run into previous clients every time we pop into Target or Sprouts.

In 2015, I was interviewed by the Dearest Doula podcast about my life as a birthworker - check it out!
